I was raised into Ottawa's vibrant jazz community. I've built a career that balances freelance performance and composing music with a passion for music education.
During my early adult years, my musical journey took me to the east coast. I spent several years teaching and performing with the Halifax Music Co-op. While there I founded and directed the Small Ensemble Jazz program and the Juventas Youth Jazz program. Since returning to Ottawa, I have been active on the jazz scene. I performed regularly on the online platform SyncSpace during the pandemic and recorded drums for the album Harlem Bounce with the Yves LaRoche Trio in 2022.
Over the last few years, I have been focused on growing my public portfolio of arrangements, compositions, and session work. I've published several lead sheets from my Millennial Mixtape project, released original pieces on streaming platforms, and recently have begun selling sheet music for my work on various platforms.

My compositions cross genres and are shaped by my unique musical upbringing. While performing jazz from a young age, I was also deep into video games such as Pokemon, the Legend of Zelda, Halo, and Mass Effect. In addition, the music of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, and Danny Elfman were featured in my favourite movies and medleys of their compositions were a staple school bands. My CD collection heavily represented the music the pop punk and alt rock bands of the early 2000's. All of these influences have theirs ways of surfacing in my music.
